Week 1:
Getting Comfortable
Meeting the horses, learning the yard, finding their feet. No expectations. Just settling in and seeing what feels right.
Week 2:
Building Trust
Your child starts working with their horse. Grooming, leading, spending quiet time together. The relationship begins here.
Week 3:
First Challenges
Small tasks that stretch them a little. Leading through an obstacle. Making a decision. Seeing that they can do hard things.
Week 4:
Managing Big Feelings
This is where the real work happens. Learning to stay calm when things go wrong. Noticing emotions before they take over. The horse gives honest feedback.
Week 5:
Growing Confidence
Bigger challenges, more independence. Your child starts to trust themselves. Parents often tell me this is when they see the change at home.
Week 6:
Bringing It Together
We reflect on how far they've come. What's changed, what they've learned, what they want to keep working on. This session is about celebrating progress and planning what comes next.
